Breakfast in Your BEAST: Fast Recipes for Mornings on the Go


It’s not always easy to squeeze in a healthy and balanced breakfast when you’re on-the-go.

While nothing compares to the smell of bacon or a stack of fluffy pancakes hot off the griddle in the morning - sometimes it's just not feasible to fire up a pan or mix from scratch; time or effort-wise.

Luckily, you don’t have to orchestrate a full smorgasbord to satisfy your early-morning cravings and get your daily dose of nutritional goodness... You can whip up a tasty treat in your BEAST Tumbler and take it with you!

2-Minute Omelet

When it comes to breakfast, it doesn’t get more classic than a good ol’ fashioned omelet. If your cooking skills are anything like mine, however, you haven’t quite mastered the art of flipping the perfect omelet.

Fortunately for us, this easy and portable recipe is just as tasty - without the hassle!

The Basics:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk of choice
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt & pepper
  • Your favorite mix-ins
  • BEAST Tumbler

The Process:

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, add eggs and whisk together with a fork.
  2. Mix in the milk, salt & pepper, and the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Microwave on high for 90 seconds, or until the center is solid and it has begun to pull away from the bowl around the edges.
  4. Transfer to your BEAST and it’s ready to go! 

The Possibilities...

  • Shredded Cheese - Cheddar, pepperjack & feta are great go-tos, but whatever you have on hand will do!
  • Cooked Meats - Think deli slices like ham & turkey, or go the extra mile with some pre-cooked sausage or bacon!
  • Chopped Veggies - A great way to get some greens in first thing, some popular veggie toppings are spinach, mushrooms, grape tomatoes, green onions, and sweet bell peppers.
  • Herbs & Spices - Add some zest! Make it aromatic with parsley, basil, chili flakes, Italian herbs - have fun with it!

Overnight Oats

Are you really not a morning person? This fun twist on typical oatmeal is the ultimate on-the-go breakfast for those mornings where you Just. Can. Not.

With a quick and easy prep the night before, this recipe makes for a fast and clean-up free morning!

The Basics:

  • ⅓ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp nut butter (almond, hazelnut, peanut, etc.)
  • ½ cup milk of choice
  • BEAST Tumbler

The Process:

  1. In your BEAST Tumbler, combine all of your ingredients and mix until there are no clumps.
  2. Seal your tumbler with the lid and place in the fridge overnight (must be refrigerated for at least two hours, and can last for up to 5 days). 
  3. In the morning, simply grab your overnight oats and go!

The Possibilities...

  • Swap plain Oats for Muesli - With added nuts, dried fruit, and spices like cinnamon & nutmeg, substituting the plain oats with muesli will instantly add flavor without the guesswork. 
  • Fresh or Frozen Fruit - Berries and sliced bananas are solid choices for fellow fruit fans to add some flavor and nutrients to the mix.
  • Sweeten it Up - Got a sweet tooth? A touch of honey, maple syrup, and even agave syrup will do the trick. 
  • Make it Vegan - Simply use a non-dairy milk like almond, soy, or the obvious choice, oat milk!

Deconstructed French Toast

Missing your morning toast? We got you! While the idea of making french toast in a mug might sound, uh, sketchy, we urge you not to knock it ‘till you’ve tried it. If it helps, think of it like a bread pudding of sorts!

The Basics:

  • 1 tsp butter
  • 3 tbsp milk of choice
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract 
  • Pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 large egg or 1/3 cup egg substitute
  • 1 cup bread pieces
  • BEAST Tumbler

The Process:

  1. In a large microwave safe mug, microwave the butter for 15 seconds, or until melted.
  2. Add the milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and the egg to the mug and whisk with a fork until everything is well mixed.
  3. Gently stir in the bread pieces until they are saturated, being careful not to tear the pieces apart. Let the mixture sit for about a minute.
  4. Microwave for a minute or until the mixture is solid throughout.
  5. Transfer to your BEAST and it’s ready to go!

The Possibilities...

  • Try Different Breads - Brioche and sourdough make for a classic style of french toast, but feel free to experiment. Just be sure it’s on the firmer side to maintain its texture - a perfect use for your loaf on day 2!
  • Top it Off -  Berries, sliced bananas, and powdered sugar are some favorite toppings to the traditional dish, and work just as well in this fun adaptation.  
  • Make it Vegan - Simply switch the egg for 1/3 cup of liquid egg substitute, and the milk for your favorite non-dairy milk.
